Privacy Policy

Horopath ("we", "us") provides Vedic astrology charts, calculations and AI-assisted readings at horopath.com. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. By using Horopath you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

  • Account data (via Firebase Authentication, incl. Google and Facebook sign-in): your name, email address and profile photo URL.
  • Birth details you enter: name, sex (optional), date, time and place of birth (coordinates and timezone). These are used to compute charts.
  • AI chat history (premium members only): the messages you exchange with the AI astrologer, so you can revisit past conversations.
  • Generated content: computed charts and, for premium members, PDF reports you request.

2. How we use your information

  • To authenticate you and secure your account.
  • To compute your chart and dasa periods and to render your reports.
  • To generate AI readings and chat responses. Only a compact set of computed chart facts (ascendant, planets, houses, dasa) is sent to the AI provider — never your raw account credentials.
  • To save your profiles, reports and (for premium) chat history for reuse.

3. Service providers we share data with

We use trusted processors strictly to operate the service:

  • Google Firebase — authentication and hosting.
  • CockroachDB Cloud — database (accounts, profiles, metadata).
  • Cloudflare R2 — storage for PDF reports and premium chat history.
  • Groq and OpenRouter — AI text generation.
  • OpenStreetMap Nominatim — place-name lookup.

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as needed to provide the service or to comply with the law.

4. Data from Facebook Login

If you sign in with Facebook, we receive your name, email and profile picture as permitted by you. We use this only to create and secure your Horopath account. You can remove Horopath's access at any time from your Facebook settings, and you can delete all your Horopath data as described below.

5. Data retention & deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Data Deletion page. Deletion removes your profiles, reports, chat history and account record.

6. Security

Connections are encrypted (TLS). Access tokens are verified server-side, database traffic uses full certificate verification, and stored files are access-controlled.

7. Children

Horopath is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
